New Music List published

The latest music list for St Mary’s Church has been published here.

The music list includes all of the services accompanied by the Choir of St Mary’s from January to Easter 2017.

Notable special services include the Patronal Festival Eucharist on 1st February, Ash Wednesday on 1st March, Maundy Thursday on 13th April and the Easter Day services on 16th April.

It is particularly worth highlighting the performances of Bach’s baroque masterpiece St John Passion on Good Friday (15th April), performed by the choir of St Mary’s and period instruments of The 18th Century Sinfonia. Entry for this event is free (with a retiring collection to cover costs).

This term the choir will also be joining forces with the choir of St Barnabas Cathedral and The English Cornett and Sackbutt Ensemble to perform Montiverdi’s Vespers. The concert will be performed at St Barnabas Cathedral on 25th February 2017 at 7.45pm.
