MacMillan’s The Seven Last Words – Good Friday

Friday 19th April, 7.00pm : James MacMillan’s The Seven Last Words

The Choir of St Mary’s performs James MacMillan’s ‘Seven Last Words From The Cross’ for Good Friday. Commissioned by the BBC in 1994, the piece focuses on Christ’s crucifixion. Frequently described as a modern choral masterpiece, it is a moving and brilliant work that shouldn’t be missed.
